why mate?
miraculous herb
PUERTO MATE is made from the leaves of the South American Yerba Mate. In addition to the natural, high caffeine content, Yerba Mate contains many valuable ingredients such as vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. The combination of these ingredients can help to stimulate the metabolism, improve concentration, increase energy and support digestion.
The caffeine contained has an activating and circulation-boosting effect and makes Mate a popular antioxidant energiser. The healthy caffeine alternative convinces with a longer-lasting caffeine response curve than conventional energy drinks, synthetic caffeine sources or coffee.
Real quality
Raw materials
For PUERTO MATE we use only Yerba Mate from our own cultivation at our location in Argentina. The 1mm fine cut without stalks ("sin palo") allows for the highest Mate quality, which is ultimately noticeable in the fine taste.

Our Mate comes from an own breeding of the PINDO farm in Argentina. The in-house nursery of our long-time partner PINDO has been producing small Mate seedlings. This direct contact, without detours, guarantees the outstanding taste and product characteristics of our Mate. A quality that is not only characterised by the outstanding and aromatic taste, but is also confirmed by independent laboratory tests.

Genuinely fair
We at PUERTO MATE have the opinion that "fairness" and "sustainability" should should not only be a label, but a matter of course. Since the mate harvest is brought in by well-trained skilled workers and is manual labor, all our workers are fairly paid and comprehensively socially insured. In addition, we attach particular importance to occupational safety and accident prevention.
